Welcome to Indiepaper

Welcome to Indiepaper, a Hugo theme that embodies the principles of the smolweb and IndieWeb movements. This post demonstrates the various features and typographic elements available in the theme.

Typography

The theme uses system fonts to ensure fast loading and consistent appearance across devices. Headers use a geometric humanist sans-serif stack, while body text uses an old-style serif for optimal readability.

Quotes

“The web is more a social creation than a technical one. I designed it for a social effect — to help people work together — and not as a technical toy.”

— Tim Berners-Lee

IndieWeb Features

This theme supports all major IndieWeb protocols:

  • Microformats2: Every post includes h-entry markup
  • Webmentions: Receive and display responses from across the web
  • Micropub: Publish to your site from compatible clients
  • Rel-me: Verify your identity on social platforms

Accessibility

Indiepaper is built with accessibility in mind:

  • Semantic HTML5 structure
  • Proper heading hierarchy
  • Keyboard navigation support
  • Screen reader friendly
  • 4.5:1 contrast ratios for text

This is just a sample of what’s possible with Indiepaper. The theme stays out of your way so you can focus on what matters most: your content.
